A computer engineer and founder of AntCode Hub in Bamenda, Soh has dedicated his career to empowering young innovators while designing technologies that solve pressing societal challenges. His latest innovation, AEGIS (Autonomous Ethical Guardian Intelligent System), is a next-generation cybersecurity platform that uses artificial intelligence to stop social engineering attacks before they succeed.
Rather than simply detecting malicious software, AEGIS understands the behavioural patterns commonly used by fraudsters. It examines emails, conversations, and digital interactions for signs of manipulation, such as false authority, urgency, or emotional pressure. When a suspicious payment request is detected, the system automatically delays the transaction, giving users valuable time to verify its legitimacy. This unique approach transforms cybersecurity from a reactive defence into a proactive safeguard against financial loss.
Designed for businesses and their employees, AEGIS helps organizations reduce fraud, strengthen confidence in digital transactions, and create a safer working environment. The solution has already demonstrated its potential through a validated prototype that successfully identified genuine cyber threats during pilot testing.
Looking ahead, Soh envisions AEGIS becoming one of Africa's leading cybersecurity platforms. By expanding across Cameroon, the CEMAC region, and beyond, he hopes not only to protect businesses from cybercrime but also to position African innovation at the forefront of building a secure and trustworthy digital economy.
