Edea Plays Host to its 8th Edition
The Government Technical High School and Government High School of Edea will harbor the 1000 young people of Edea and its environs aged 10-18, for the 2024 ICT Holiday Camps from the 20th-24th, August 2024, under the theme: “Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and challenges for patriotic youths.”
Edea 1 and 2 in the Littoral Region of Cameroon will play host to the 8th edition of the ICT Holiday Camps from the 20th – 24th, August 2024. The Government Technical High School and Government High School of Edea will both shelter the anticipated 1000 participants for the event.
This edition placed under the theme: Artificial Intelligence: opportunities and challenges for patriotic youths”, will, like the preceding editions split the young people in two groups for better coordination and management.
To this effect, Government Technical High School Edea will host young people aged between 10-13 years, while Government High School of Edea will house youths from 14 – 18 years. Participants are expected to answer present at their respective sites on Tuesday, 20th August 2024, at 8:00 prompt.
The deadline for registrations by participants initially scheduled for Friday 16th, August 2024, in the town halls of the said localities has been postponed to Tuesday 20th August 2024 at 12:00 noon. Worth noting is the fact that the two sites that will host the youths will open its doors for registrations as well. This is to increase the chances of young people in that community to benefit from the opportunity offered to them to familiarize with ICTs.
The event which is organized by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications aims not only to encourage and develop ICT learning but also to promote patriotic values in the digital platforms in line with The Revered Instructions of the Head of State.
