In a bid to digitalize the Information System of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, a project to develop the Ministry's maiden Information System Master Plan was recently launched at the conference hall of the Ministry.
During the Launching, AFREETECH Consultancy, the bearer/ holder of the project explained that the project will assess the existing information system and make concrete recommendations that will digitalize the information system of the Ministry and its decentralized structures. If effectively implemented, these recommendations contained in the master plan to be developed, will ease communication and archiving in the government department.
Speaking during the meeting, Dr. Winfred Mfuh, chairman of the follow up committee of the project, exhorted the project holder (AFREETECH) and all members of the follow -up committee to be proactive, professional and even patriotic with their minds set on designing the best Information System Master Plan for the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications,  frontline actor in the digital transformation of Cameroon.
In an interview after the launching meeting, the Contract Engineer of this Master Plan project, Mr. Emmanuel Gabsa explained that this first ever Information System Master Plan project was conceived in accordance with the Minister's Digital Economy agenda which is a major priority. This master plan will provide a comprehensive list of projects to be carried out for the effective digital transformation of the information system of the Ministry and it decentralized structures, making the Ministry a digital model in this digital age.
