Digital Economy Sector : Stakeholders in the capacitation school

The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications has developed a special programme to coach young people engaged in digital technology and ICT, with a view to implementing the government's strategy for the development of the digital economy.

This seminar, which began on Monday 06 January 2020 at Sup’ptic, will run to the end of this month. The 40 youths from the 10 regions of the country, divided into two sub-groups, will take turns every day, alternating between morning and afternoon.

The aim is to support these young stakeholders involved in the digital economy, to ensure their smooth transition from the informal to formal sector and develop this promising sector.

More specifically, it involves, among other things, building the technical and operational capacities of young people in the informal digital sector and providing them an administrative assistance in the process of business creation. Donations and technical repair k

The direct and indirect beneficiaries of the project are informal stakeholders in the digital economy, job seekers and promoters of digital businesses, Cameroonian youth and the State of Cameroon.

This project which is entirely funded by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, also aims at creating direct and indirect jobs, formalise and develop very small digital businesses, train young people in Mobile Repairing.

A visit by the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Mrs Minette LIBOM LI LIKENG is scheduled for the upcoming days, before the solemn closing ceremony that she will personally chair at the beginning of February.its for telephones and electronic terminals will be made available to them at the end of the training.
